Honoring Tajir Williams by investing in the future, one scholarship at a time.
Turning Dreams into Reality
The Tajir Williams Scholarship Fund was established in loving memory of my son Tajir, who passed away from Fentanyl poisoning the day after his 21st birthday. This scholarship is not only a way to honor Tajir, but also an opportunity to empower the next generation through education. By providing financial support to deserving students, we're investing in a brighter future for our community. Since the scholarship’s launch, we’ve raised nearly $10,000 and awarded six scholarships to deserving high school seniors pursuing higher education. This effort not only keeps Tajir’s legacy alive, but also gives other young people the opportunity to pursue their dreams.

REQUIREMENTS
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP, YOU MUST:

Be a high school senior based in the US.

Plan to attend a four-year college or university located in the US starting in the Fall immediately following your high school graduation.

Demonstrate leadership at school or in your community.

Have a cumilative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Require financial assistance to attend college
HOW TO APPLY
To be considered for the Tajir Williams Scholarship Fund, please complete the online application by June 6,2025 with the following items:

College Acceptance Letter

Proof of current GPA

Application Video
Here's what to include in your video, keeping it within 2-5 minutes (10 minutes max):

Introduce yourself, sharing where you're from, your background, and who you are.

Discuss the importance of maintaining a drug-free lifestyle, and feel free to share any personal stories that highlight its significance to you.

Explain how you plan to successfully complete all college requirements within the allotted four-year timeframe.

Express how winning this scholarship would provide financial assistance during your college journey.
